Art Gallery of Ontario
Art Museum Not-for-profit — Toronto, ON
Founded in 1900 by a group of private citizens as the Art Museum of Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is a provincial not-for-profit organisation and the 10th largest art museum in North America.

Important Projects provided the Education Department of the AGO with pro bono assistance on a virtual art collection initiative it is currently undertaking in collaboration with Heritage Toronto, the Multicultural History Society of Ontario, the Toronto District School Board, various community youth groups and the general public.

Aspiration
Technology Assistance Not-for-profit — San Francisco, CA
Aspiration connects not-for-profit organisations with software solutions that help them better carry out their work so that they, in turn, can change the world. Aspiration identifies what is available and what is missing in the not-for-profit and NGO software arena, then helps foster relationships, develop delivery systems, and execute sustainability strategies between NGOs and their tech support organisations around the world.

Important Projects was commissioned by Aspiration to write an article on how not-for-profit organisations can successfully manage collaborative software development projects.

Evergreen
Environmental Not-for-profit — Toronto, ON
Evergreen is a national not-for-profit environmental organisation with a mandate to bring nature to cities through naturalisation projects. Evergreen motivates people to create and sustain healthy, natural outdoor spaces and gives them the practical tools to be successful.

Important Projects worked with Evergreen to develop the preliminary project schedule for a large-scale native plant nursery and environmental living centre Evergreen has since developed.

GreenNet
Not-for-profit ISP — London, UK
Established in 1986 as a not-for-profit collective, GreenNet is an Internet Service Provider dedicated to supporting and promoting groups and individuals working for peace, human rights and the environment through the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Important Projects worked with GreenNet to plan the redesign of the APC website.

New Internationalist
Communications Co-operative Not-for-profit — Oxford, UK
With over 30 years of publishing under its belt, and more than 75,000 subscribers worldwide, the New Internationalist is renowned for its radical, campaigning stance on a range of world issues, from the cynical marketing of babymilk in the Majority World to human rights in Burma.

Important Projects delivered a project management lunch & learn to the New Internationalist at their offices in Oxford.

NMK
Digital Media Not-for-profit — London, UK
NMK is a not-for-profit learning & information hub for businesses and individuals working in UK digital media. NMK produces a programme of topical events and courses offered at minimal cost to delegates, all providing an accessible mix of knowledge and experience sharing combined with networking opportunities.

Important Projects worked with NMK to develop and deliver an intensive 2.5 day project management process and methodology training course for new media organisations in London, UK.

Sustainability Network
Environmental Capacity Building Not-for-profit — Toronto, ON
The Sustainability Network is a support centre for environmental not-for-profit organisations. Its mission is to enrich environmental leaders and not-for-profit organisations through programs, services and support that help them increase their capacity to lead, manage and strategize.

Important Projects worked with the Sustainability Network to deliver project management process and methodology training to a group of 25 environmental NGO leaders in Toronto, Canada.
