Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for
internationally recognized human rights. AI's mission is to undertake research and
action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and
mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from
discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights.
Important Projects worked with the International Secretariat of Amnesty
International to produce a
2 year projects and operations plan for its
Internet and E-Communications Programme, and is currently working with the same
group on
IMPACT, a project undertaken to
increase the effectiveness of Amnesty International's global website and
e-communications.
The Association for Progressive Communications (APC)
International Civil Society Network — Johanessburg, ZA
The Association for Progressive Communications (APC) is an international network of
civil society organisations dedicated to empowering and supporting groups and
individuals working for peace, human rights, development and protection of the
environment, through the strategic use of information and communication technologies
(ICTs), including the Internet.
Important Projects worked with the APC to deliver project management
process and methodology training to a group of APC leaders at a management
retreat in
Prague, and at
staff and regional meetings in
Montevideo,
Cape Town,
Barcelona and
Johanessburg.
Concern Worldwide
Global Poverty NGO — Dublin, IR
Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the
ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world's poorest countries.
Important Projects is currently working with Concern on its
"Next Generation Web" project, a project to move all of Concern's websites to
Drupal,
to integrate them with
CiviCRM and then with a number of existing legacy systems as well.
Greenpeace UK
International Environmental NGO — London, UK
Greenpeace is an independently-funded organisation working to protect the environment.
By challenging government and industry to halt harmful practices by negotiating
solutions, conducting scientific research, introducing clean alternatives, carrying
out peaceful acts of civil disobedience and educating and engaging the public,
Greenpeace seeks to protect biodiversity in all its forms, prevent pollution of the
earth's oceans, land, air and fresh water, end all nuclear threats, and promote peace,
global disarmament and non-violence.
Important Projects worked with Greenpeace UK to
define and prioritise its
CMS requirements, perform
a comparative CMS
feature evaluation,
select a CMS
product and
vendor, and to manage the
design and implementation of the chosen product.
Important Projects also worked with Greenpeace UK to
define and prioritise the
requirements for an online CRM system it plans
to integrate with its existing supporter database.
